I see the product and the code at once
I am Iveta Simonyi (formerly Snášelová). I do frontend at Speedlo Pro, a system for restaurants and delivery, where since 2023 I have gone from junior to senior developer and product owner.
The strongest thing I do is not a particular framework. It is refusing to take a brief as given: questioning it, estimating how hard it will be and how long it will take, and finding a simpler route to the same goal. That is why I write specs as often as I write code.
Beyond the development itself, I also shaped how frontend gets done at Speedlo in the first place. I wrote the FE Philosophy, coding guidelines, development lifecycle and deployment process, so that the work is not only consistent but so that anyone joining us can actually find their way around it. I run code reviews, onboarded a senior colleague, lead a mid-level developer, and wrote the technical assignments used in our interviews. And for a while I was the only frontend developer, in a company of around twenty-five people.
I am a perfectionist who can still consciously decide what to leave alone when it is not worth it.

- I am tech lead on several products: a universal branded e-shop, the waiter app with QR ordering, kiosk applications and the backoffice.

- I designed the interface and built the entire React Native frontend, wired up over GraphQL.
- Overview and sensor dashboards, including historical charts with switchable ranges and a two-period overlay.
- A condition system for automation: groups of conditions over sensors and actuators, with priority to resolve conflicts.
- The app was also my bachelor thesis at Brno University of Technology, built to Soleqa’s requirements.

- Whole shifts in English, with guests from all over the world, in an operation where you have to be quick and courteous at the same time.
- Not a technical role, but the most concrete evidence I have that I will step into the unknown and make myself understood.

Numbers, not adjectives
The strongest evidence I have comes from the first project above, the rewrite of a customer ordering platform for one of Speedlo’s largest clients, a Czech fast-food chain. We launched it in September 2025, into live trading. This is how the first day went.

AI in the workflow
I use Claude Code and GitHub Copilot daily. More interesting than the tools is the degree of control, and for me that follows from how long the code has to live.
On a small static site that will not be maintained, writing everything by hand or reviewing every line is not worth it; instructing the AI well is enough. On complex long-lived systems it is a different situation: AI makes hidden mistakes that only surface a year later. There, the output has to be reviewed rigorously.
What I use it for
- Writing repetitive parts of the code faster.
- Navigating unfamiliar code, typically finding the cause of a bug. This is where it is most effective.
- Documentation.
- Checking my own code before sending it to review.
- Drafting briefs for developers, though I review those too, because AI writes needlessly long descriptions.
